Biography

Ieuan was the son of Adda Goch ap Ieuaf and Angharad ferch David.^[1]

In 1374, he was a witness to grant of lands in the lordships of Chirkland and Oswestry. He was recorded as "Ieuan ap Atha goch".^[2]

In 1381, he was a witness to a gift of land in the township of Pengwern. He was recorded as "Ieuan ap Atha Gogh".^[3]

At the Extent of Chirkland in 1391-3, the occupants of Trefor Issa included "Madog ap Hoell, Atha ap Hoell & Jeuan ap Atha Goz liberi tenentes tenent ... in communi".^[4]

In 1394, he was a witness to a quitclaim of lands in the township of Penguern. He is recorded as "Ieuan ap Atha Goich".^[5]
